Factory supply Lithium Tetrafluoroborate CAS No 14283-07-9 LiBF4

Chemical Name: Lithium tetrafluoroborate
English name: Lithium tetrafluoroborate
CAS No.: 14283-07-9
Chemical formula: LiBF4
Molecular weight: 93.75 g/mol
Appearance: white or yellowish powder

Lithium Tetrafluoroborate (LiBF4) is a white or slightly yellow powder, easily soluble in water, has good solubility in carbonate solvents and ether compounds, has a melting point of 293-300 ° C, and a relative density of 0.852 g / cm3.

Lithium tetrafluoroborate has good chemical stability and thermal stability, and is mainly used as an additive in LiPF6 based electrolyte system to improve cycle life and improve the performance of lithium ion batteries.  After adding LiBF4 to the electrolyte, the working temperature range of the lithium ion battery can be widened, and the high and low temperature discharge performance of the battery can be improved.

LiBF4 is widely used in current electrolytes, it is mainly used as an additive in LiPF6 based electrolyte systems and as a film-forming additive in electrolytes. The addition of LiBF4 can broaden the working temperature range of lithium battery and make it more suitable for extreme environment (high or low temperature)
